Drainage Advisory Committee

The seven member Drainage Advisory Committee was created by the City Council in August 2019. The duties of the committee are:

  1. Develop and recommend to the City Council potential drainage projects that comply with the requirements of state statutes regarding Proposition 6 of the 2018 General Obligation Bond program; 
  2. Advise the City Council regarding public benefits of the individual recommended projects; 
  3. Advise the City Council of the anticipated project costs and proposed priorities for recommended projects; 
  4. Make written reports to the City Council of its activities from time to time as the Board deems advisable or upon City Council request, but no less than annually; and
  5. Perform such other duties as may be established by ordinance or assigned by the City Council.

The committee's first meeting is Monday, Sept. 30, 2019.

Committee members are appointed to four year terms. Two members are selected from the City Council members. Councilors each nominate one of the other five members.
