The City of Broken Arrow Streets and Stormwater Department is expected to begin repaving a one-mile stretch of Omaha (51st) Street from Elm Place to Aspen Avenue starting May 23. The project is anticipated to be completed in mid-June, weather permitting.During the construction work, traffic will be restricted to one lane of travel, depending on which side of the road is being worked on. Detour signs will be in place to direct drivers around the construction. We appreciate drivers’ patience while this necessary roadwork is completed. The Omaha Street repaving project costs $85,000 and is being paid for through 2014 General Obligation Bonds.
