Starting January 1, 2024: Landfill passes
A new approach to free Dump Days.
Each Solid Waste & Recycling customer is able to pick up two landfill passes per year. Passes must be picked up from our Operations building located at 485 N. Poplar Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Please bring a valid ID and we will verify your active refuse account.
Passes must be used within 30 days and all landfill restrictions (listed below) will apply.
Once you have a Landfill Pass in hand, you will drive to the Waste Management Quarry Landfill located at 13720 E. 46th St. North. This is easily accessible by traveling north on U.S. Highway 169 to the eastbound exit at 46th St. North.
Please bring your driver’s license to verify the name on the voucher.
Any household waste can be dropped off except for the following items:
- Batteries
- Compressed gas cylinders
- Fluorescent light bulbs
- Hazardous materials
- Liquids (such as paint in liquid form, gasoline, used oil, etc.)
- Tires
- Untreated medical waste
Call the Tulsa M.e.t at 918-584-0584 to find out how to dispose of these items.
Refrigerators/air conditioners/freezers/or Freon containing items will be accepted with the proper documentation that the refrigerant has been properly removed by a licensed CFC technician.
Motor oil, batteries, antifreeze, steel cans, and scrap metal are accepted year-round at the Metropolitan Environmental Trust (MET) recycling facility located at 302 North Elm Place. The facility also accepts plastic bottles, glass bottles, newspaper, office paper, aluminum cans, cardboard and paperboard.

Hazardous Waste
Household Pollutant Collection Facility
Broken Arrow residents are able to dispose of their hazardous household waste any time of the year at the City of Tulsa’s Household Pollutant Collection Facility, 4502 S. Galveston Ave. in west Tulsa.
Hazardous household waste includes fluorescent and CFL bulbs, oil-based paints, vehicle fluids, aerosols, pool chemicals and more.

Broken Arrow residents will need to contact the M.e.t. at 918-584-0584 to receive a voucher number. The voucher number will allow residents to dispose of up to 45 lbs of hazardous waste at the Tulsa facility free of charge. Disposal is $1.33/lb thereafter.
The facility is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Check out the Swap Shop while you're there for free household items!
