ARTSOK Inc. presents artist Robert Peterson as part of the Art After Hours Series. The exhibit runs Jan. 4- Feb. 2, 2019, in the gallery of The Museum Broken Arrow. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Currently living and working in Lawton, Robert Peterson is a self-taught artist. His spontaneous realistic portraits have been exhibited and sold in galleries in NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Venice Beach and Lawton, OK. Peterson's highly sought after work has been collected by celebrities such as hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs, Swizz Beatz, James Cruz, Fabolous; as well as athletes like Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Derrell Revis. In January 2017, Peterson made Oklahoma history by becoming the first African American to ever receive the artist of the year award in Southwest Oklahoma for not only his amazing works of art, but also his passion for philanthropy and art education.

The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is excited to present the hilarious romp “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised]" by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, Jess Winfield. This production is rated PG 13, because even the bard gets a little bawdy sometimes. This production is a hilarious fast-paced romp through the bard’s 37 plays all in the span of about 97 minutes! Terry Michael, Paulette Record and Andrew Smith will whisk the audience through the complete works of the bard in a style influenced as much by the Marx Brothers and Monty Python as by Shakespeare himself. We hope you will laugh with us in February, mark your calendars and tell all your friends!

Empty Bowls is a service learning project by BAHS students to create awareness about local hunger and benefit Broken Arrow Neighbors and BA Food for Kids. Students will create bowls, artwork and prepare performances for the event. Admission will be $10 and will include a handmade bowl and a dinner.

The Classical Catholic Drama Club presents "Charlotte’s Web." Based on the story by E.B. White; Dramatized by Joseph Robinette: “It’s not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer.” The classic story of friendship, based on the book by E.B. White, will warm hearts young and old as it charms its way onto our main stage this fall. Down on the Zuckerman Farm, Wilbur, an irresistible young pig is determined to avoid the butcher. With the help of his friends (especially the magnificent spider, Charlotte) Wilbur is not only safe, but learns that true friends live in our hearts forever. This story named one of the best American children’s books of the past two hundred years, will enchant audiences of all ages. Ten percent of ALL Ticket Sales will be donated to Catholic Charities.
