Miss Alma’s Rules open at Tulsa Community College April 21st Miss Alma's Rules is a Tulsa Community College Theatre student production which will be presented at Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus Pace Studio Theatre on April 21-23rd at 8pm and April 24 at 2pm. The play is written by TCC scriptwriting student, Pat Wingate and Directed by student director, Levi Smiley, and Assisted Directed by Ian Moore.
Student designers are Bekah Nunn doing Hair and Make-up Design, Joel Smith doing Costume Design, Alyssa Yepez doing Light and Sound Design, and Katie Welker doing Set design. The Production Stage Manager is Beth Westfall. The cast includes Ana Nuñez playing Miss Alma, Hayley Longacre playing Tiffany, Nathaniel Vilardo playing Brewster, Matthew Gwinner playing Officer Howell, Evan Paik playing Rusty Gates, and Tyler Joiner is the puppeteer for the Nasty Filthy Cat Puppet.
Taylor Terrell, Bryleigh Proo, and Michael Reed are the understudies for the production. Miss Alma's Rules in an official participating production entered in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 6. The play centers around young Tiffany, fleeing a volatile situation in her life and finds herself cold and alone in a stranger’s detached garage during Tulsa’s Great Ice Storm of 2007. An unsuspecting Miss Alma finds the girl and their paths collide. What begins as a tense hostage situation, quickly becomes a fight for survival. Forced to work together the unlikely pair will do more than keep each other warm. Each alone in the world, together they hopefully break through the ice.
