New water tower coming to south BA
Construction is expected to begin in early 2025 on an elevated water storage tank, also known as a water tower, on 11.5 acres at the northeast corner of New Orleans and Lynn Lane.

Infrastructure construction set to begin at Arrow Forge
Construction of a three-lane asphalt roadway, water and sanitary sewer lines, and a four-way traffic signal are a few of the infrastructure improvements coming to the 90 acres just south of Florence Street, between Aspen and Olive Avenues, known as the Arrow Forge Innovation District.

BA Transit pilot program expanding
Ridership on Broken Arrow Transit has increased 276 percent over the previous public transportation option, saving the City of Broken Arrow more than $31,000 during four months of the six-month pilot program. (Data is not yet available for August and September).

$50 utility bill credit available
Fifty Broken Arrow residential water customers will receive a $50 credit on their water bill for participating in the Lead Residential Sampling Incentive Program following a vote of the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority (BAMA) on Aug. 20.

A loan agreement with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) will finance parts of 21 water utility improvement projects in the City of Broken Arrow, totaling $20.2 million.

The City of Broken Arrow has a new Streets and Stormwater Department Director. City Manager Michael Spurgeon announced that Tim Wilson, who has been serving as the interim director since March, has been promoted to full-time director.

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce is providing up to $39.5 million in matching funds through the Enterprise Zone Incentive Leverage Act to help fund the necessary infrastructure improvements for the Sunset Broken Arrow Amphitheater development.

Farmers Market and Food Trucks debuts Tuesday at the Rose District Farmers Market, 418 S. Main St., from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This family-friendly event features live music, an interactive water feature, approximately 20 Farmers Market vendors, and various food trucks on July 9, 16, 23, and 30.
