The 2022 City of Broken Arrow Hazard Mitigation Plan Update is nearing completion after nearly eight months of work. Before the City’s Plans are sent to FEMA for review and approval, the public is invited to participate/view the Plan’s draft before the project completes next month.
The Hazard Mitigation Plan Update will be presented at the Public Safety Center (1101 N. 6th St.) in Broken Arrow on September 28th between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The public’s input is highly valued during this phase of the planning process, and this presentation will serve as a fantastic way to see what your community has done, and continues to do, to be better prepared for the impacts of natural hazard events like flooding, severe winter storms, tornadoes/high winds, dam incidents, hail, wildfires, hazardous materials, extreme heat, lightning, drought, and earthquakes.
