Like other disasters, earthquakes can disrupt our lives and have lasting impacts on communities. It is important that citizens, communities, and businesses are prepared for hazards that may affect them. To support this preparedness mindset, CUSEC is once again joining millions of others by participating in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill.
During the self-led drill, participants will practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" and other actions to improve preparedness. The first step to getting started in the ShakeOut is to log on to www.ShakeOut.org and register to participate. From there, you can access drill manuals, materials, and other resources needed to get started. Because earthquakes can occur at any time, we encourage everyone to use the ShakeOut as an opportunity to assess their potential vulnerabilities, make improvements, and practice how to be safe.
Visit the ShakeOut website today and sign up to participate in the world’s largest earthquake drill!
