Talk with City staff and the contractor about the construction project for the improvements to The Park on Florence 2nd Regional Detention Pond at this Meet the Contractor event. Join us on Tuesday, Sept. 26 between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Leisure Park Elementary School, 4300 S. Juniper Pl.

This award-winning project will consist of cleaning out sediment build up in the basin, clearing of trees and other foliage, and construction of a new headwall and stormwater piping to help control stormwater flows from the region.

A follow-up project will happen in the spring of 2024 to implement some new, specifically designed trees and plantings within the basin area to act as natural stormwater erosion efforts. Plans and photos will be available for viewing as well as an opportunity to meet a representative of contracting company, Ground Level LLC,  and City construction team members who will be working within The Park on Florence neighborhood.
