Get ready for a 3 day event on June 27, 28 & 29, 2024!The New Orleans Square Block Party is an annual event celebrating the American experience with live music, food trucks and fireworks at the newly renovated intersection of New Orleans Street (101st Street) and Elm Place (161st Street). Fireworks go off at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday only.

• Chicago Nights- featuring former Lead Singers of Chicago Jason Scheff, Bill Champlin and guitar by Chris Rodriguez.

Please note that different sections of New Orleans Square will be closed:

• Wednesday – portion of NW quadrant parking lot by Waters Edge closed at 8 a.m. Wednesday to 5 p.m. Sunday for stage.
• Thursday – portion of NW quadrant parking lot closure
• Friday – closure of NW parking lot at 7 a.m., intersection closed from 2 to 11 p.m.
• Saturday – closure of NW parking lot remains until 11 p.m., intersection closed from 2 to 11 p.m.
• Area in NW quadrant from Jimmy’s Pizza to Summer’s Market opened from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
• Small area in NE quadrant by Subway closed from 7 a.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Saturday for BAFD.
