What is SNAP & SFMNP?
Previously known as food stamps, the Supplemental Nutrition Program provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of families in need so they can purchase healthy food and move towards self-sufficiency.
The Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is designed to:
- Provide low-income seniors access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs.
- Increase the domestic consumption of agricultural commodities through farmers' markets, roadside stands, and community supported agricultural programs.
- Aid in development of new and additional farmer's markets, roadside stands, and community support agricultural programs.
How can I apply?
You can apply for SNAP or SFMNP by clicking here or call (888)-322-6551.

When does the farmers market end and what do I do with leftover tokens?
If SNAP households still have tokens at the end of the season, they can choose to hold on to them to spend the next season or turn them into the SNAP table at the last market to receive their refund.
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program individuals will have to either spend their tokens or bring them by the SNAP table to receive their refund before the end of the season. The SFMNP tokens are only eligible for one season and change colors each year.
