Parking:

New Orleans Square has multiple parking spaces available. The northwest quadrant is reserved for the festival and disabled parking. Disabled parking can be accessed from New Orleans Street. We asked that you do not park on the side of road. Also, this year, there will be an area at Arrow Heights Baptist Church for rideshare pickup and drop off.

Seating:

All areas of New Orleans Square offer a great view for watching the fireworks. We encourage you to bring chairs and blankets to watch them. Strollers and wagons are also welcome.

Fireworks:

The fireworks will be shot from southeast of New Orleans Square at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Pets:

We discourage bringing your pets to the festival. According to the American Kennel Club, pavement can be incredibly hot for dog’s paws and cause damage. In addition, the smell, noise and flashes of light from fireworks can cause anxiety. Access to water will also be limited. It is also against City Ordinance 2067 to bring a dog to an assembly of over 1,000 people. This does not apply to police dogs used in law enforcement, or as an aide to a person with a hearing or slight disability.

Road Closure:

The intersection of New Orleans and Elm will close at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 28 and open at 11 p.m. It will then close again at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 and open at 11 p.m. Access to the northeast, southwest and southeast parking lots will be available. Disabled parking is available in the northwest quadrant.

Looking back at the 2023 Party

"Thanks, BA, for putting on a fun, family event!" said DeAnn Deason. "It was very nice to be out with the town folks, listening to music and eating yummy food."

Family and friends gathered at the Square for a free concert and experienced some of the greatest rock artists of the 70s and 80s jamming together live on stage in The Voices of Rock Radio Tour. The spectacular musical lineup featured Kevin Chalfant (The Storm, Journey), John Elefante (Kansas), Fran Cosmo (Boston, Orion The Hunter), Charlie Huhn (Foghat and Humble Pie), Randall Hall (Lynyrd Skynyrd), and John Schlitt (Head East and Petra). Special thanks to Waters Edge Winery on the Rose for making this concert possible.

According to the Facebook reviews, the annual celebration just gets better every year.

"Amazing night in the BEST city with the BEST people!" Vice Mayor Christi Gillespie said.

Resident Michelle Everett said, "So blessed to live in such an amazing city."

Billye Flanary is already looking forward to next year.

"Great job BA!!! Fantastic bands and fireworks! Definitely should be an annual thing!" she said.

In addition to the music and fireworks, the 2023 New Orleans Square Block Party included something for everyone— a Kids Zone, where kids could see and touch some of the City's giant equipment vehicles, there were more than 50 merchants for shopping, and a fantastic fireworks display that lit up the Broken Arrow sky.

"These events propel the interest and vitality currently taking place in south Broken Arrow," said City Manager Michael Spurgeon. "Events like this go hand-in-hand with our continued effort to revitalize this great part of our City and help build a greater sense of community by bringing everyone together for fun and activity."

And long-time resident Patrick Martin agreed and said the New Orleans Square Block Party gave him a sense of pride in his city.

"I grew up in Broken Arrow," Martin said. "I have been here almost a half-century. I was proud of my town last night. The police did a great job on security and presence. I liked the Chief walking around and talking to citizens, that really impressed me."

From the vendors selling their wares, more than 20 food trucks, the kid zone, and the fireworks finale, there was much to see and experience. We look forward to seeing you next year at the 2024 New Orleans Square Block Party!

Events are held throughout the year at New Orleans Square. Be sure to check out the New Orleans Square Facebook page and stay in the know about what's going on there at the Square!
