Automated Meter Reader System

The City of Broken Arrow has improved its water meter program by installing Automated Meter Readers (AMR). The installation began in 2016 and completed in 2023. The AMR system will result in greater accuracy of meter reads, establish efficiency in collecting water use data, and help control staffing and operational costs.

Many communities in the area, such as Owasso, Sand Springs, and Tulsa, also use AMR systems.

• Minimize the need for personnel to go on the property
• Detect leaks/back flows occurring in the plumbing system
